Snakes typically seek shelter in residential areas, searching for a warm hiding spot beneath decks, inside walls, or under foundations. Because they can squeeze through the smallest openings and can be hard to distinguish between venomous and non-venomous, professional snake control is crucial to stay protected. At Bamboo Pest Control, we understand both the urgency and delicacy of snake situations, providing professional removal services and prevention strategies to protect your property long-term.
Both non-venomous and venomous species will bite if they feel threatened, making any species a potential threat to your safety. Without expert knowledge, it can be difficult to distinguish between species.
A snake infestation often times means you have a secondary pest problem, such as rodents, that has attracted the snakes to your home. This means you could likely be dealing with multiple pest issues.
Having snakes present on your property can make outdoor spaces unsafe and unusable, preventing children from safely playing and activities like gardening potentially dangerous.

Our pest control specialists go through extensive training to understand the various species of local snakes, their behaviors, and preferred hiding spots. This enables them to address both visible snake activity and hidden nests and entry points.
Snake Control experts utilize specialized tools and proven exclusion methods that aren't available to the general public. Our approach combines professional removal techniques with strategic barrier installation and habitat modifications to provide lasting protection.
DIY snake removal attempts often end up being more expensive in the long run, as store bought repellents fail to address the root cause. Plus, trying to handle snake problems yourself can be extremely dangerous and lead to life-threatening situations.
Our experts understand the crucial role snakes play in our local ecosystems and use humane removal methods that protect beneficial species. We make sure to carefully consider environmental factors and seasonal patterns in order to effectively manage snake populations without disturbing nature.

What an amazing service! Chris was on time and so kind and professional. He was timely and efficient, while also keeping up updated on what he was doing and where he would be. He even gave us a small bag of things and treats for the dogs (even when they went a little crazy seeing a new person). Thank you Chris so much!!
Chris who looks to be my assigned bug technician has been great in coming out to reapply products. Have been happy with my service, communication, and willingness to come back out to re apply products if you’re still experiencing issues. They do use greener products which is a plus if you’re a pet owner.
They sent a message letting us know they were 30 min away. They knocked on our door at exactly their scheduled time. He was kind and fast! It was great! I recommend them. Also, huge plus, the indoor bug spray has no fragrance. And the outdoor one was lightly scented but with essential oils, so it wasn't a STRONG and headache inducing fragrance. As someone who is pretty sensitive to scents, it was great that it wasn't a strong chemical smell. All around great service.
Professional, thorough. Was able to get a great deal for my area. Daniel came out and performed our initial treatment, while Evan was our original salesman. These gentlemen were knowledgeable about both the profession as well as their specific company (and a surprising knowledge of other pest control companies in the area). Really impressed with the amount of services included in my package including the treatment of my yard and an alternative to rat boxes for rodent control.
Chris came out in between scheduled appointments to deal with sugar ants and informed me of the do’s and don’ts should there be a next time. He is courteous, listens to my concerns, informative and communicates well. I appreciate his text half an hour before his arrival as I am dealing with a toddler, baby, 3 dogs and 2 adjacent properties that he services. I am happy that I switched to Bamboo Pest Control.
This company really goes the extra mile and they know how to handle pests. We have noticed a significant decrease in insects around the house and we were just serviced by Brandon and he was excellent. I highly recommend Bamboo to take care of what matters most, piece of mind so you can enjoy your home!

During the chilliest months, snakes actively search for warm, protected spaces to get through the winter. Some retreat to underground dens but many find their way into homes through basement gaps, foundation cracks, or crawl spaces, where the temperature stays more consistent. Even in winter, snakes can still remain active in heated spaces like garages, making year round protection essential.
2
As the temps begin to rise again, snakes emerge from their winter shelters and become more visibly active. This is typically when our call volume increases as homeowners begin to spot snakes enjoying the sunshine on driveways, patios, and near foundation walls. Spring also happens to be their mating season, meaning snakes travel more and in unexpected places, Including Inside homes, as they search for a mate along with warmth and prey.
3
The hot summer months drive snakes to seek shade and cooler spaces, often leading to conflict with homeowners. They tend to be more active during dawn and dusk, utilizing these cooler hours to hunt around properties. Common summer hiding spots include dense vegetation, woodpiles, garden beds, garages, and basements. Air conditioned homes are particularly attractive to snakes trying to escape the heat.
4
In Fall, there is usually a big boost in snake activity as they prepare for winter. This is when snakes are actively searching for winter den sites, making it extremely important to seal potential entry points around your home. We often find them exploring around foundations, porches, and sheds. Snakes may also become more defensive as they conserve energy for winter.

Below are some of the most common questions we get regarding snake control.
If you come across a snake indoors, the first thing to do is STAY CALM. Keep a safe distance away from it and DO NOT try to handle or kill it. Keep children and pets away as much as possible and try to confine the snake to one room. Contact a professional to remove it immediately. While you wait for their arrival, place rolled towels under doors to prevent the snake from moving throughout the house.
Snakes are going to be most attracted to properties that fulfill their food, water, and shelter needs. For example, things like rodents, tall/overgrown grass and vegetation, wood or debris piles, water features, and gaps under buildings commonly draw in snakes.
Many snakes are great climbers and can scale pretty much any surface with enough texture/gaps to grip (ex. brick walls or rough stucco). If they find the right surface, some species can climb up to 20+ feet. They can also potentially reach upper floors through nearby trees, wall vines, or roof access points. This is why we make sure to address any and ALL potential access points during our snake control service.
While there are several identifying features, key differences include head shape, pupil shape, and tail characteristics. That being said, we want to emphasize that these aren't foolproof and there are many species that are easily mistaken for another without expert knowledge and experience. We always recommend that homeowners treat all snakes with extreme caution and call the pros instead of putting your own life at risk.
We are always happy to answer any pest control questions you might have. Just give us a call!
